If you haven’t gone paperless maybe now is the time to decide. Google Calendar provides teachers with the capability of setting up appointment slots which could be shared in a variety of ways with colleagues, parents and students. It is easy to set up and minimizes the use of paper along with stress due to misplaced sign-up sheets which either didn’t make it home or the dog ate!

STEPS FOR SETTING UP GOOGLE CALENDAR APPOINTMENT SLOTS
- Open Google Calendar
- Go to Day, Week or 5 Days View to create appointment slots
- NOTE: Appointment Slots
CAN'T be created in Monthly Calendar View!!!
- NOTE: Appointment Slots
- Go to Day, Week or 5 Days View to create appointment slots
- Click on a day in the calendar table and highlight the block of time
- A window should open
- Click on Appointment Slots (the word will change color from blue to black)
- Fill in Details and select a Type: One appointment or several ? minute slots
- Click Create Slots
- Click to Open Appointment Slot
- Copy URL to share in Email
- URL Opens in Calendar View where Parents can Sign Up using one of the Appointment Slots
Can parents use without a gmail account? Or is this only within GAFE users?

Hi Ryan ~It works best if the parent has a gmail account. Yes you need a GAFE account to create appointment slots. An everyday gmail account is all one needs to use a publicly shared appointment slot calendar.
